Club Puffed Multi-Grain

0Ryan Clayton30th Apr 2008Food

Ok so I may have mocked up the box label a little since I couldn’t find the Multi-Grain version online.

Anyway, I purchased these little bits of yummy about a week ago when I was sick. I was thinking something like a cracker wouldn’t upset the stomach. I never got around to trying them until tonight.

It’s hard to type with one hand…as I’m shoveling these guys into my mouth. They are really good….buttery, flaky, and a little nutty with a tiny hint of cinnamon.

Now don’t let the Multi-Grain fool you. Ingredient #1 is Enriched Flour. Not to mention, they did manage to get High Fructose Corn Syrup in there. Why!?! Freaking stupid little elves!

They really should print some warning on the outside about not eating a full box of these as your dinner. Oh like you never!

It’s time to switch things up…up there.

1Ryan Clayton30th Apr 2008Guitar, Snowboarding

You may have noticed the change of the image at the top of the page. It just doesn’t seem right to have a snowboard up there when such a sad thing just recently happened. April 20th was closing day at Breckenridge. It was sad…I woke up Monday morning and looked out the window to see a ski lift just sitting there. Not moving.

Sure, I can still go ride at A-Basin if I really want to. But it would be like riding mashed potatoes…

The new image is what is now currently keeping me occupied. Learning to play guitar. I practice daily. The only time I haven’t played recently is this past week, I skipped a whole week. I was also horribly sick and couldn’t sit up long enough to play. Not to mention, I really didn’t want to get puke on my guitar.

What you are looking at up there is a Seagull S6. Yes, I ‘rock’ a Seagull. I call it…Livingston.

Friday Humor

1Ryan Clayton25th Apr 2008LOL

I’ve been sick for the past week and today I get a joke email from my mom that was sorta fitting.
——————————
Hung Chow calls into work and says, ” Hey, I no come work today, I really sick. I got headache, stomach ache and legs hurt. I no come work.”

The boss says, ” I really need you today. When I feel like this, I go to my wife and tell her to give me sex. That makes everything better and I go to work. You try that.”

Two hours later Hung Chow calls again. “I do what you say and I feel great. I be at work soon…you got nice house.”

Happy 420 Everyone!

1 month smoke free

1Ryan Clayton15th Apr 2008Smoking

1 month and I haven’t had a single cigarette…..sure I’ve thought about them.  Sometimes I have dreams where I’m in a giant tub of cigarettes…the sweet smell of tobacco in the air.  And a big Zippo that I flip open with that distinctive “pling” sound that acts like Pavlov’s bell……

Than I wake up and realize, I don’t smoke…why?

Because after 1 month smoke free:

-Coughing, sinus congestion, fatigue, and shortness of breath decrease
-Cilia regrow in lungs, increasing their ability to handle mucus, cleaning the lungs, and reducing  infections
-The body’s overall energy increases

My Weekend

1Ryan Clayton8th Apr 2008Colorado

I had a great weekend and thought I’d share and make all of you feel jealous that your weekend wasn’t near as fun or exciting. =)

Friday night I drove up to Denver and Annika and I went to see The Hotel Cafe Tour. Amazing is the easiest way to sum it up. Jim Bianco really impressed me, I’ve listened to a few of his songs but didn’t fall in love with his stuff until I saw it performed live. I also discovered a new artist, Meiko. Her voice doesn’t seem to match the little girl that was on stage, it’s quite impressive. Definitely check her out.

Ingrid MichaelsonOf course Ingrid Michaelson just blows me away every time I see her. I even snapped a quick photo of her, to prove I was all but 5 feet away from her. If only you could touch…but then the tickets would probably cost more.

AnnikaSaturday was shopping day…wandering around Ross, checking out the clearance racks, DSW for shoes (love shoes) and Guitar Center since I’m looking for a new guitar. I was thinking of an Ibanez but after playing a few I’ve changed. I really did not like the sound coming out of them. So I picked up a Seagull and loved it. Annika was checking out guitars too. I was looking for the one with the best sound and playability. She was looking at ones that are blue and look ‘hot’. She does look hot holding it…but I have yet to see her not looking stunning.

Sunday was a lazy day and we just stayed in…until it was time to go home. Then as I was loading up my car I noticed that someone had decided my car looked like a good place to play Tic Tac Toe and key’d my car. Not just a little scratch down the side…but many on the hood and down the passenger side. I guess a vegitarian saw my In-n-Out sticker and decided I need to be punished for eating yummy cows.

This is just weird…..

Ok, a quick breakdown of the story.

-Sonny finds out he has congestive heart failure and goes on the waiting list for a new heart.
-Terry kills himself, by shotting himself in the head. Terry is a donor so  Sonny gets Terry’s heart.
-Years later, Sonny marries Terry’s widow (seems that heart is attached to the widow huh?).

But that’s not the end of the story…..

-Sonny just died…of a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

First off, you have to feel for the widow who is now a widow again.  And both times her husbands committed suicide.  That’s just got to be hard to deal with.  Can’t do good things for the self-esteem.

Secondly….do you think the heart had something to do with it?  My mind says that’s not really possible but I find it really weird that 2 people who shared the same heart both killed themselves.

Discuss……

I do not have a YouTube addiction!

Had to post this having recently started playing the guitar. Does playing 2 at once get you laid twice as fast? Now I’m off to play Tetris…I wonder if they have it for my Wii.

2 weeks smoke free

1Ryan Clayton1st Apr 2008Smoking

I found this list on the internet that gives you a timeline of how your body repairs itself after quitting smoking….I’ve hit another mark…2 weeks.

2 weeks after quitting smoking

-Circulation improves
-Walking becomes easier
-Lung function increases up to 30 percent

I hit my 2 week mark exactly at the time of this post.  And that is no April fools joke….
