Ok, that’s just my opinion….but this commercial really caught my attention. It’s a pretty hard hit at KFC but to be fair to them…they did respond and say that the beef seasoning used in the chicken is only .02% of the ingredients. Not to mention, they aren’t hiding it…it’s right there on the website for anyone to see. But it sure is an effective bit of advertising.
I really wish we had El Polo Loco here in CO. I miss it. Next time I’m in LA I’m going to In-n-Out for lunch and El Polo Loco for dinner! Wait! Then I’d have beef mixed with my chicken.

Ok so I may have mocked up the box label a little since I couldn’t find the Multi-Grain version online.
Anyway, I purchased these little bits of yummy about a week ago when I was sick. I was thinking something like a cracker wouldn’t upset the stomach. I never got around to trying them until tonight.
It’s hard to type with one hand…as I’m shoveling these guys into my mouth. They are really good….buttery, flaky, and a little nutty with a tiny hint of cinnamon.
Now don’t let the Multi-Grain fool you. Ingredient #1 is Enriched Flour. Not to mention, they did manage to get High Fructose Corn Syrup in there. Why!?! Freaking stupid little elves!
They really should print some warning on the outside about not eating a full box of these as your dinner. Oh like you never!

What a wonderful thing to wake up to. I climbed out of bed rather late today, wandered toward the bathroom and an intense white caught my eye outside the window. At first I thought, “Wow, the sun is really bright today.” Then I realized what I was seeing…snow!
As you can see, it wasn’t a lot of snow. But it came down most of the day. I ended up just hanging out at home with my Mom and her husband, John. We watched some TV, had a fire going all day and then I made my Pork Tenderloin alla Napoli (but I did it with pork chops). It was a really nice lazy snowy Sunday…

When I lived in Florida there was a place that served a hamburger with blue cheese and fried onions on top. It was called the Stank Burger and it was really good.
This weekend I’m up in Denver with my mother and her husband. We hit this little tavern in Cherry Creek and they have a burger on the menu with blue cheese and red onions. It was really good too….I love blue cheese.
What is it called? The Clayton Blue!

I only recently discovered The New Pornographers but when the chance came to go see them in concert I couldn’t pass it up. That’s why I’m posting past 2am on a Monday night. I went up to Boulder and saw a great band, ate at one of my favorite restaurants, The Sink, and had a great, yet late, evening.
I guess I’m still on that high from seeing the band in person. I can still hear the music in my head. I listened to them on the way home but it felt flat, it didn’t make my bones shake like it did live. And to think, I’ve always considered myself to not really be a concert person, but I had such a great time I’m looking forward to my next. To keep track of these events, be them movies, concerts, theater….I’m going to take the approach a friend of mine does. But instead of a wallet full of stubs, I’m setting up the events gallery, and I’m going to scan my ticket stubs and then post them here. Thanks for the inspiration Wiggles!
