Last Saturday I stopped into Walgreens to pickup some hair product. Yes, I said hair product. I use this stuff from FX called Texture Dirt. Which is fun when someone asks how I make my hair stand up, I just tell them dirt.

Anyway, this product doesn’t seem to be a fast mover and I occasionally find one that is dried out. I’ve started making it a point to open the little tub to make sure I’m not buying a container of crusties.

When I got to Walgreens, the store at 625 N. 19th St. in Colorado Springs, I found two tubs of Texture Dirt. Unfortunately both were dried out…more so than I’ve ever seen before. There was maybe 50% of the product lost from evaporation and instead of the creamy white color I’m used to seeing, this was yellowed and kind of nasty looking. Nothing I’d want to rub into my hair.

I figured I’d be nice, so that no one else who has a super cool hairdo would buy this tub of funk, and I took the two containers to the cashier. I told him that both of them were badly dried out and they were unuseable. He gave me this “So what?” stare. So I mentioned that I just didn’t want anyone else to buy these only to have to return them later.

Skip forward to today, almost a week later. By now I’m desperate for product and another Walgreens that I checked was totally out. So I returned to the store with the dried out product, walked down the aisle and thought I was going to be looking good tomorrow because I noticed a couple of tubs on the shelf. Then I did my check and found that these are the exact same two tubs from before!

I can’t be certain that they were intentionally put back on the shelf but from the way the cashier was looking at me, I wouldn’t be surprised. When I originally found and reported them, I remember thinking that I should come back the following day because I was certain he was just going to put them back out for sale.

You’ve lost a customer Walgreens. It seems a little shady and a whole bunch of dishonest that you’d try to resell a product to another customer after you were already told it was bad. I’m sure if you contacted the vendor, they would replace the product no problem. But instead of your employees doing their job, they found it easier to just put them back on the shelf and make them someone else’s problem. Fortunately it didn’t become my problem.

If you see me tomorrow, don’t mention my hair, I know it’s not all fun and sticking up. Bad hair Friday….that sucks!

I got this cool app for my phone called TimeLapse. I guess it’s pretty obvious by the name what it does. I shot this video over about an hour. I would have gone longer but it got dark, so it’s only 6 seconds long. I can’t wait to shoot more stuff with this app.

About a year ago I bought a couple of Betta fish and posted the following video.

Red fish didn’t last too long and was replaced….that replacement floated soon after. Blue fish on the other hand is still swimming. I looked up the life expectancy online and I guess these little guys live 3 years on average. I must be doing something right with him and I’ll let everyone know if he makes it to 2011.

Last night I fell asleep on the couch. I had the laptop at one end and I was sleeping at the other end….so the laptop was near my feet. I also happened to leave my instant messenger on and at some point in the middle of the night I had a spam instant message pop up. My foot must have hit the keyboard…and can you guess what it typed?

If I’m ever out somewhere and I see a cute girl…and then I see her pink Crocs…I’m out. Really…they are just ugly and no amount of hotness can overpower them. Seriously! Try and picture Megan Fox naked wearing Crocs. Kills it, doesn’t it?

The First Lady of Porn, Marilyn Chambers, is dead at the age of 56. I think we should all have a moment of…well not silence. How about we all moan for about 30 seconds. Ready? Go.

By the way…do you have any idea how much porn I had to look through to find a safe photo of Marilyn. It’s hard work, but when it’s all over, you really feel like you’ve acomplished something.

Monday night I fell asleep on the couch and woke up about 1:30 in the morning. Half asleep, I managed to peel myself off the couch and I took Neela outside for her pre-bed walk.

I live on the 2nd floor and she walked downstairs over to the patch of grass with out me (she does this often but never runs off). So I was standing on the upper landing of the building bored as she did her thing.

I started messing around with my outside thermometer because it hasn’t been transmitting the temperature to my inside unit. Once I realized I didn’t have the brain power to deal with the problem…I went inside and climbed into bed.

7:00am the following morning I’m in bed asleep and I hear Neela bark. But it sounded like it was coming from outside. I laid there for 5 minutes before I decided I should make sure she’s inside.

She wasn’t. It seems I left her outside all night. Fortunately she seems to have just slept outside in front of the door on the upper landing. She could have gone anywhere…but she’s such a great dog, she just hung out waiting for me to realize she wasn’t inside.

The moral of the story…I won’t ever have kids. I’m sure I’ll set the car carrier on the roof of my Jeep and then drive off. I wonder if Thule makes a baby basket for my roof rack…

Us magazine is reporting that Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have split up.  The pair were engaged to be married but since calling it quits, they have decided to remain friends.

And just because I’m hoping this might work…I’m calling dibbs!
